Accumulating Facts and Time At the planning stage of this project, we wanted to "print photographs directly onto the used newspapers from around the world" to pay our respects to photographers and media as well as to create a new value by "reusing" old newspapers which we think symbolizes the age of mass production and recycling. After the countless meetings, we instead set to making 100 collages of old newspapers and mounted 100 photographs onto them- this is what we call "Original Edition"- then made their reproduction for publication. In making Original Edition, we collected more than 100 newspapers from all over the world. Refugee problems, market information, advertisement of new products, announcement of cultural awards.... The layer of old newspapers in different languages with a variety of information also signifies the accumulation of facts and time as well.
