What will happen to the average temperature of the Earth if global economic development continues at its current pace? In 2005 a group of Japanese researchers used the latest supercomputer to predict changes in the Earth's average temperature up to 2100. The result was the Earth on the left. The colors indicate the difference in average temperature since 1900.
