Serious food crisis hits Southern Africa this year.
United Nations World Food Program (WFP) announced that the starving population in 6 nations in the area, Lethoto, Malawi, Mozanbique, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe, now counts up to over 14.4 million due to severe climate, repeating drought, chronic malnourishment, unstable political situations and poor social infrastructure.
In addition, Angola, that had been experiencing civil war until April this year, is also suffering from severe food shortage now. |
