+Kabul Basic Knowledge

Due to the sequence of events that developed following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack, Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, became one of the world re-known battlefields. Because of the conflict that continued for over 20 years, Kabul had always been an important location for fierce combat, and the city center was repeatedly destroyed, while people were forced to escape as refugees and internally displaced persons.
After the Taliban forces were ousted, together with the inauguration of the Karzai administration, the refugees from within Afghanistan and from other countries returned to Kabul.
Not only did the people build homes in the present residential areas, but they also built new residential areas in places such as hillsides, and people's lives were gradually heading towards restoration. Local NGOs established by people of Afghanistan whose activities were extremely restricted under the Taliban regime were at work receiving assistance from international organizations/NGOs so that some day they will be able to solve their own problems by themselves.
However, many are dissatisfied with the Karzai administration, and this internationally focused land is subject to various terrorist attacks. (In reality, the city was attacked by terrorism in September.) Therefore, during the day, many inspections were conducted in the city, and at night, martial law was declared. Thus, it cannot be said that there is a high degree of law and order. The restoration activities are carried forth on an unstable political foundation.
